Richard has created work for festivals, local galleries, local fund raising events (GOSH) and 4mations.tv. His cartoon illustrations have been published by Scotland Magazine, WPC Press and Toons Mag. Richard trained in art and design and worked in hand-drawn animation. A good deal of his early work experience is in theatre and music related industries.

Finished illustration is usually supplied as a digital file such as a .pdf.

Digital and Hand-Drawn Illustration

I work with a pen display and a tablet for a lot of my illustration as well as pencils, pens and inks for thumbnails and roughs; working in black and white, half-tone and colour. I don’t use, or plan to use, generative AI for illustration. All media files are carefully prepared and checked over by me before being sent.
